Fast and Furious 4 (2009) TS/XviD/Fresh Links /300MB

INFO

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker reteam for the ultimate chapter of the franchise built on speed — Fast & Furious. Heading back to the streets where it all began, they rejoin Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster to blast muscle, tuner and exotic cars across Los Angeles and floor through the Mexican desert in the new high-octane action-thriller. When a crime brings them back to L.A., fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Diesel) reignites his feud with agent Brian O’Conner (Walker). But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmanuever him. And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what’s possible behind the wheel.

MOVIE INFO

Synopsis
Have you ever stopped to think if the most ordinary, uninteresting, unobtrusive man you might see on the road or around you might have a love story to tell?
Maybe not! How can an ordinary man have a breathtaking, goose flesh igniting, awe inspiring love story of all things to tell?
But guess what - love does not differentiate between the ordinary and exceptional, the uninteresting and interesting, the unattractive and attractive. Because love knows no distinction. It can happen to anyone and once it does it engulfs us into it completely and gives us those miraculous experiences that only love can yield.
This is what happened to Surinder Sahni (Shahrukh Khan) - a simple, clean hearted, honest man working for Punjab Power, leading a humdrum life, when he meets his total opposite and finds love in the flamboyant, fun-loving, vivacious - Taani (Anushka Sharma) for whom the whole world is her canvas and she paints her own life with the colours of rainbow all until unforeseen circumstances changes it all and brings them together.
What follows is a journey filled with laughter, tears, joy, pain, music, dance and a lot of love. A journey that makes us believe that there is an extraordinary love story in every ordinary jodi.

NEW ASIN NEWS FOR U SUPER ############################ ASIN IS IN HOME ALONE!

ASINS IS HOME ALONE!!!!!

Asin’s devoted dad refuses to get surgery done in spite of the acute pain. Joseph Thottumkal currently in hospital has been attending to all of his daughter’s business calls from the bed.

“He's on drip. No food allowed. Na ghar ka na hospital ka...and still he’s constantly on the phone discussing and confirming my prior engagements. He’s very clear on one thing. Under no circumstance am I supposed to let any of my commitments suffer because of his hospitalisation,” says the proud, devoted, emotional and slightly bereft but strong daughter, unwilling to show her emotions.

As her father prepares to go under the knife for an appendectomy, for the first time in her life Asin has to managed her life and career without her father.

To compound her distress, Asin’s mother, who’s a doctor, is also spending as much time with Joseph Thottumkal as possible, leaving Asin with no choice but to fend for herself in the house.

“My father was in pain for sometime. He tried to play it down, took painkillers. But then it got worse. And we were unable to go to my native place in Kerala to cast my vote for the Lok Sabha elections. For the first time in my professional career I found myself traveling alone to Bangalore for a commitment. It felt... different. But one has to manage. I’d like to believe I’m quite a capable girl.”

Asin returned from Bangalore on Sunday and rushed straight to the Kokilabhen Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital where her father had been admitted. “It’s quite near to where we live, yet seems so far away....”

Though she puts up a brave front it isn’t easy. “That’s why he has been avoiding getting into the hospital. He felt if he was off his feet my work would suffer. But this time I’m determined to prove him wrong. I’ll continue my work in his absence. In fact I’m going to be shooting for an ad today, Tuesday. Will I miss my dad? He has taught me to be a strong girl.”

ASIN SAYS ___ NO LOVE WITH SALMAN ___________ OH MY GOD I DONT KNOW TO DESCRIBE IT SENSITIVE GOSSIP

Unmarried Salman Khan already had many babes including Aishwarya Rai. Aish escaped from him and told the world that Salman tortured her even by burning her skin with cigarettes.

Then this Salman lived with many and was believed to be settled with Katrina Kaif. All of a sudden Asin entered between them and broke their relationship. Now its said that Asin is dating with Salman and may marry him.

When Asin was contacted, she says that Salman is just a friend and has no special place for him and the relationship that she have with him is just limited to Bollywood style of living.

She adds "Salman takes all these rumours and gossips in a easy way and by living with him I too have learnt a lot through him". When asked to detail more about what all she learned from him, she refused to answer further.

Finally this reported asked "If you are not in love with Salman - whome do you love as of now?"

Asin said "I am not in love with anyone. I even do not have any habit of roaming around with any one particular guy. As of now I love only cinema"

DIRECTOR SHANKAR ABOUT ENTHIRAN{ROBOT} MEGA BUDGET FILM OF RAJINI SIR

All that was published so far about the movie are not what we call precise. As ‘Endhiran’ is being created on budget that’s said to be historic in Indian Cinema industry the director spoke few things about the movie.

‘I am very happy to combine with Superstar once again. This movie is his dream project. For the first time we are using the technique called animatronics. The movie belongs to fantasy genre though we have polished the story with futuristic concepts. I have no need to tell about the lead star Rajinikanth who is very much stylish in this movie. There is no separate comedy track in ‘Endhiran’ as Karunas and Santhanam characters are patched with the flow of story itself. Like ‘Style’ song in Sivaji this movie got an ultra stylish phenomenal song that will be a sure eye treat for all his fans’ says the fashionable director Shankar.

Slumdog Millionaire Movie Review

Slumdog Millionaire - No looking back!
IndiaGlitz [Friday, January 23, 2009]

Yeah! When you've a British Filmmaker and Indian Artists are on the show, 'a mind-boggling' magic goes on. For sure, you wouldn't need an illustration for this. Richard Attenborough's 'The Gandhi' touched the feat of honor. Now, after 27 years, here the Indian dreams getting accomplished yet again. Thanks to Danny Boyle who has made us wonder how versatile filmmakers of our Country weren't able to present such a mirror-image of Mumbai, its beauty and the other side. Precisely, it's worthy calling the film as the 'Good-Bad-and-The Ugly' of Mumbai. Indeed, the British Filmmaker endows us with a tremendous piece of work. Well, this flick isn't merely about 'A Slumdog turning millionaire overnight', but the heart-and-soul encounters faced by a lad on his way from 'Rags to Riches'.

Ever heard about the line 'Reality Bites', you should have. A staggering film that offers you surprises and irresistible shocks that even Mumbaikers wouldn't have noticed. If you're looking out for any messages to be perceived - yeah, you've one. 'Bitter experiences making you stumble down are the stimulants to successes'. Don't assume this to be Danny's statements; but it is for those audiences who expect a solid substance from it.

Accused of cheating and desperate to prove his innocence, an eighteen-year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai reflects back on his tumultuous life while competing to win 20 million rupees on India's 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' in Danny Boyle's inspirational drama. Jamal Malik (Dev Patel) may not have a penny to his name, but that could all change in a matter of hours. He's one question away from taking the top prize on India's most popular television game show, but as with everything else in Jamal's life, it isn't going to be easy.

Arrested by police under suspicion of cheating, Jamal is interrogated by the authorities. The police simply can't believe that a common (Slumdog) could possibly possess the knowledge to get this far into a brain game game, and in order to convince them of how he gained such knowledge, Jamal begins reflecting back on his childhood. As young boys, Jamal and his older brother, Salim, lived in squalor, and lost their mother in a mob attack on Muslims. Subsequently forced to rely on their own wits to survive, the desperate siblings fell back on petty crime, eventually befriending adorable yet feisty young Latika as they sought out food and shelter on the unforgiving streets of Mumbai.

Though life on the streets was never easy, Jamal's experiences ultimately instilled in him the knowledge he needed to answer the tough questions posed to him on 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire'. Though Jamal makes a convincing case for himself, one question still remains: why would a young man with no apparent desire for wealth or fame be so determined to win big on a national game show? Of course, it won't be long until everyone finds out the answer to this burning question, because as Jamal sits down to find out whether he will be rich beyond his wildest dreams, 60 million viewers remain transfixed to their televisions eager to see if he'll correctly answer the final question.

It's merely not the expositions of Mumbai and Vikas Swaroop's 'Q&A' that makes 'Slumdog Millionaire' an interesting film. Simon Beaufoy's gripping screenplay of continuous switching over times of past-and-present, keeps you edge-seated for every single second of the 120 minutes. A groovy narration with joy, pain, union, separation, tragedy and love doesn't get anyone's attentions scattered.

Check out the list of star-casts, everybody on the title cards steals the show with their exceptional performance sans flawlessness. Dev Patel has an inborn talent that's so evident on his gestures and actions on every frame. The glimpse on his reactions as Irrfan questions 'Who's there on 100 rupee Indian Note?' his fantastic spell of reaction would never stop anyone from applauding. Watching this guy glimpsing on his past for the last question of 'Three Musketeers' and smiling cheerfully, would again make you hail him with praises. 'An outstanding actor' and that's it.

Well, you don't have Frieda Pinto appearing for more than 30mins (3 different girls on different ages of Latika's characterization). But, gets her depicted attractive sans a lavish makeover… Madhur Mittal as Older Salim overwhelms with sparkling acting especially in the penultimate sequences. Wanna hear his Punch dialogues? 'Eeee…easy', 'Aaraamse….', 'I'm at the centre of centre'.

Anil Kapoor deserves great appraisals for the bold attempt of picking a characterization of negative shades. Irrfan Khan with his casual efforts picks your attention. Saurabh Shukla does his characterization which is presented with finesse.

The technical aspects are enthralling. We have never seen Mumbai's slums so deeply. The cinematographer doesn't fail to capture even the minutest props with the best-innovative placements of camera angles. We also get to see a bird's eye view of Mumbai's slums.

As icing on the cake, the Musical score by Rahman makes it big with the visual perception. To a certain extent, title song 'O Saayo' seems to be carrying the traces of opening scene in Fernando Meirelles' 'City of God'. Rahman's earnest involvement in getting along with creative thoughts of the cinematographer and Danny Boyle has yielded the best results. Doubtlessly, 'Jai Ho' and 'O...Saayo' are electrifying making you feel to watch it over again for many times. Nithin Desai's set decoration of 'Kaun Banega Crorepathi' and the marvelous Taj Mahal are a masterpiece.

On the whole, 'Slumdog Millionaire' has various reasons to capture everyone's attention. Probably, the most top-charting show of 'Who wants to be a Millionaire', 'Kaun Banega Crorepathi' should have earlier pulled everyone. Nevertheless, there's something more close to your hearts than these factors of emotional vistas. A beautifully portrayed romance bounded with lots of hurdles in the union till last moment is sure to melt down your hearts.

Verdict: Watch it any cost…. Even, if a ticket costs a million dollars!!!

HAHAHA HA........... I GOT THAT $$$$$$$$$$$$ INTERVIEW WITH ARR HOLY CRAP , I'M DYING HERE NOW TASTE THE MAGIC MAN$$$$$$$$$$$4

"I wanted to be part of something bigger" - A.R. Rahman
Tuesday, March 27, 2007

A.R. Rahman has just released the single Pray For Me Brother and the song has almost become a rage now, at least amongst those who have been deeply affected by the huge emotional quotient of the number and are relating to the stunning visuals of the imaginative video.

In the DVD version of the song, Rahman talks about the project which is close to his heart and how the entire music and its video took shape.

How did the project happen?

It all happened 3 years back when I was composing for the Broadway version of 'Bombay Dreams'. There were lots of things happening around with different kind of music being composed and I was wondering what was I doing?

I thought that I should be a part of something bigger with a human contribution to the world. I went through a few hospitals in New York, London, New Delhi etc. and while I was just waking by, I could almost sense people dying and asking "Pray For Me, I am dying" or "Pray For Me, I Am Suffering". Immediately I called up Blaaze [co-lyricist and rapper] and asked him if he could do a song on this concept.

Finally we had a version where it was pretty acceptable and I could relate to it and "Pray For Me' was born. Then we found an extraordinary visionary in the form of Bharatbaala with whom I had worked earlier on the event of India's 50th independence anniversary for 'Vande Mataram'.
Purpose of the song "Pray For Me Brother"

The song is aimed at inspiring the governments and the people to make a change. This may not happen immediately but at least the process needs to start now in aid of the United Nations Millennium development goal to eradicate poverty by 2015
First time a song written in English

The song is written in English since the basic idea of the song came in English. Also it is supposed to be the international version of the anthem song. When the song was written, I shared it with a colleague and he came back exclaiming "What a superb line!". When I asked him which one, he said "Are you searching for a reason to be kind". This is it. Instead of ending the song with "Pray For Me Brother", I had the one mentioned by my colleague as the one which now comes in the end. Somehow now it almost seems like a perfect ending.
Idea of the video

We were just toying around ideas of what the videos should look like. We could have gone the serious route by showing miserable people; suffering people but then that was not the way we needed it to be since this was done too many times. We wanted more friendly video to be watched by the people. We jammed and thought around why should the video be shot only in India, Africa or somewhere else? Why not America? So we selected that as the place where we could show these huge skyscrapers with signs of modernity and progress on one end and a beggar on the platform; something that I see in Manhattan. There was an idea about this couple who are almost splitting and there the man sees huge hoardings with people with extraordinary expressions who almost seem to be talking through the pictures. Bala then came up with some real magical moments!

The video was scheduled at number of places like Manhattan, Tokyo, London but every time the plan got canceled. Finally got a call and was told that "Pack your bags and catch a flight to LA". I reached there and caught some eye problem due to which I had to wear specs. Now I am never comfortable wearing those but was forced to do. so It almost looked like an attitude with the specs on in the music video but it eventually turned out to be falling well with the video. Then there was this shoot in the desert and Bala always likes to put some huge fans to make my hair fly. We didn't need them eventually since there was a huge storm and made the flow come naturally.
Rahman's own foundation

"Pray For Me Brother' is the first humble step that I have taken in creating a song in a hope that inspires and changes the attitude towards poor people.

TAMIL SUPER HIT MOVIE --- AYAN [SURYA, THAMANNA.....] REVIEW ROCKING;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

Ayan Movie Review

Ayan - Attractive, agile and amazing
IndiaGlitz [Saturday, April 04, 2009]

Suriya, who proved his credentials as a versatile actor doing varied roles untill recently, has taken a litmus test of doing a mass commercial hero in ‘Ayan’. In the end, he emerges out as a clear winner leaving his impression all through the film.

The striking feature of the movie is Suriya’s amazing screen-presence. He is right there delivering his best. Be it romance, action or comedy, Suriya is at his crackling form serving the very basic purpose of purpose of entertaining the masses.

Cinematographer – director K V Anand had touched a sensitive theme in his maiden directorial venture ‘Kana Kandein’. ‘Ayan’ too serves a purpose. It brings to light the pitiable condition of uneducated and poor youth, who are being used as bait by smugglers. Often referred to in Tamil as ‘Kuruvi’, these men live a life loaded with risk. However the movie is not preachy as Anand laces right commercial elements all through.

A macho-man story, ‘Ayan’ is a perfect summer entertainer. Though the storyline is familiar and oft-seen in the past, the pacy narration and captivating visuals provide the necessary pep to the film.

Anand’s packaging of this commercial entertainer is sophisticated but would appeal to all sections. Reminding one of movies like ‘Dhalapathy’, ‘Nayagan’ and the much recent ‘Gemini’, ‘Ayan’ is a riveting and racy right from the word go. Produced by AVM and presented by Sun Pictures, the movie has magical moments enthralling audience.

Deva (Suriya) is a typical Chennai youth. His mother (Renuka) aspires that her son would join government service. Pursuing his post graduate course, Deva instead works for Das (Prabhu), who runs a smuggling racket.

A shrewd Deva is a carrier of smuggled articles bringing from abroad everything including pirated CDs of newly-released movies to diamonds without getting caught by customs officials.

However Kamalesh (Akashdeep Saigal), who runs a similar racket in the locality, starts to give nightmare for both Das and Deva. Keen to topple them, Kamalesh goes to any extremes. Das entrusts Deva with a job to smuggle diamonds from Congo. Intervenes Kamalesh. He sends his man to make Deva’s mission unsuccessful. But eventually he fails. Meanwhile, Deva falls in love with Yamuna (Tamannah), sister of Chitti’s (Jagan), who also works for Das.

Their rivalry hots up and a turn of events leads to Kamalesh bumping off Das. Deva goes on revenge mode. They sort out their enmity in the barren lands of Congo and a surprise awaits Suriya in the form of Narcotics Bureau chief Parthiban (Ponvannan) after he returns to the country.

Suriya’s rendition of ‘Chennai Thamizh’, his youthful looks and body language are the major strengths of the movie. His onscreen chemistry with Tamannah is good. Amazing to see Suriya performing acrobatic stunt sequences, who has been hitherto considered as a 'performing' actor. His dedication and involvement could be seen in every frame.

Equally appealing is Tamannah. Though she has no major role to play besides a couple of songs including one in alien land, she is convincing. Prabhu as Das is apt fit for the role. He handles the role with much-needed maturity. He renders grace and charm to his role. Jagan and Karunaas play the supporting roles well. Specially Jagan with his one-liners is impressive. Akashdeep Saigal, the baddie from Mumbai, lends solidity to the role. His dubbing by ‘Kolangal’ fame Ajay is appropriate.

The spine-chilling chase in the streets of Congo, choreographed by stunt master Franz Spilhaus deserves a special mention. M S Prabhu capturing the mood of film in various shades and tones is a pillar of strength to Anand. Harris Jayaraj’s songs are peppy. Watch out for the opening song “Pala Palakura”, which is racy. However the real scene-stealer is editor Anthony. His slick work manages to sustain interest all throughout.

No doubt, ‘Ayan’ is one more in the kitty of successful movies being belted out by Sun Pictures.

$$$$ INTERVIEW WITH GEOGIOUS DEEPIKA PART 2$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Tete-a-tete with dream girl Deepika - Part II
Wednesday, January 14, 2009

How would you best describe Deepika Padukone-the person and the Deepika Padukone - the celebrity?

I don’t consider myself a celebrity, I believe that I’ve had a fantastic up bringing and I believe my parents have kept me really grounded and rooted and my family keeps me rooted. And I hope that success never gets to me. I’ve seen my father handle success really well and I hope I continue in the same way because I believe that fame and money, all of that are all secondary things. The main thing is to enjoy your work.
With the economic downturn, do you think it's feasible to plan magnum opuses? As an actor, how do you plan to tackle the downturn?

I’ll tackle it when I have to; I haven’t really faced the situation yet.
You seem to be very picky about choosing roles? Do you consult anybody from the film fraternity before signing on a venture?

Obviously the final decision is mine, but I do have my parents who I always consult before I do a film and I take their advice.
Will we ever see you in a Hollywood venture?

If some thing exciting comes up, why not?
How do you de-stress after a day's hard work and what' the mantra that keeps you going?

I enjoy doing simple things. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, eating simple home food
Tell us something that nobody else knows about Deepika Padukone - the actress

Nothing in particular. I like to believe that I am a very simple person. I like doing simple things, I like spending time at home with my family and friends. And I am extremely fond of chocolate.
Does it rile you up about your personal life being discussed till the cows come home? Are you on/off with Ranbir, are you on/off with XXX, what is your take?

. All I can say at this point is that I know it’s a part of your profession to be written about your personal life and people are going to keep speculating which is fine as long as I know what is happening in my life, and I am very secured and happy in my relationship.
How does it feel to be a part of Imtiaz Ali's next venture ‘Production No 1’? Were you aware of the tug of war between Saif Ali Khan and the director over who should be cast?

That’s really none of my business and decision. I think if Imtiaz has approached me for a film and if he thinks I fit the role then… It was offered to me and obviously I agreed to do it. It’s a great script and a great role and I think certain roles are written with certain people in mind. So that’s really the director’s decision. I am no one to really comment on that.

You won several awards for your role in ‘Om Shanti Om’. How has the film changed your life?

It’s changed my life in a lot of ways. The fact that I got to debut with Shah Rukh and Farah, they gave me such a huge launch. Apart from that I am completely grateful to the industry and the audience for accepting me and the fact that I have got such fabulous roles and opportunities to be a part of such good films.
You used to play badminton, like your father. What made you change your career path?

I always wanted to be a model and wanted to be in the glamour field. So it’s something that I always wanted to do.
You famously criticized the media for publishing stories about your romantic link-ups. Has this affected your private life and how you conduct interviews?

To me it really doesn’t matter; I understand that it’s the job of the media to get as much as they can. I understand that it’s also a part of the profession that I am in. I know that people appreciate my work and that’s the most important thing. I really don’t react to these kinds of things when they are written.
What are your hopes for 2009?

I hope that my films that release do really well.
Who or what is your biggest inspiration?

My parents are my biggest inspiration.
How do you like to relax?

By spending time with my family.

$$$$$$$$$$$$ INTERVIEW WITH AWESOME BEAUTY OWNER DEEPIKA PADUKONE PART 1 $$$$$$$$$$$$$$44

Tete-a-tete with dream girl Deepika - Part I
Tuesday, January 13, 2009

With ‘Chandni Chowk to China’ all set to hit cinema halls in a couple of days we bring you up and close with the lead lady of the film Deepika Padukone. Deepika opens up on her experience shooting for ‘CC2C’, on her family, life and more. So gear up for what’s coming ahead!

You have a phenomenal 2009 ahead of you and life seems too good to be true. But did you have any resolutions this New Year's eve?

No resolutions really, every year I hope that the following year is as exciting as the previous year and I am very happy with the way my professional life is going and I just hope that this year is the same for me. I always hope that I remain happy because I think happiness is very important.
You celebrated your birthday some days ago. How does it feel to turn ___ And if reports are anything to go by, you visited a temple in Mumbai. Did you party at all?

No, partying is not my thing, I prefer spending time with my family and yes I did visit a temple in the morning, that's generally how I start my day on my birthday and generally do things that I enjoy doing, so I spent time with my family and also worked a bit, so I managed to balance out both.
Any birth-day wishes?

Well…what better way to start the year with a big film? My film ‘Chandni Chowk To China’ is going to release soon, so I hope that it does really well.

‘Chandni Chowk to China’ was your first action movie. Was it tough to film?

Yes, it was tough, but I am glad that I went through the extensive training – physically and mentally it was important. So I was well prepared.
What training did you undertake prior to filming?

I trained for six months. My trainers came down from Hong Kong and trained me in all the cable work and wire work and all the sword fights and all those things.
The trailers of ‘CC2C’ seems very promising. What made you choose this venture?

. This project was offered to me before ‘Om Shanti Om’ released. And the fact that I was always very keen to do an action film and the fact that it sounded like a very big and exciting project , the fact that Nikhil Advani was directing it and it was opposite Akshay Kumar and the fact that I have a double role, so what more could I have asked for?
You are playing a double role once again. (After OSO). Do you think opting for double roles gives you more scope to exercise your acting prowess?

I would have considered myself very lucky to have got to do the opportunity of a double role again. It just gives me that much more confidence that my directors and the audience believe that I can carry off different kinds of looks in different kinds of roles. And obviously as an actor it is a lot more challenging doing two roles in the same film. It’s definitely not easy and is quite challenging.

You look phenomenal yielding all the sticks, the magical umbrellas ... How difficult was it to pull off all the stunts?

. It was quite difficult because I had to train for about six months; I used to train for about eight hours a day. But I think it's all paid off, it was something that I had to do because of the kind of action that was required in the film. And my trainers came down from Honk Kong to train me for the action sequences in the film. I think it has really all paid off very well. The action sequences were all ready before we even started shooting for the film. Once we started shooting everything was all in place and I didn't waste any time learning.
Do you always identify with the roles that you take up on screen? And more importantly, will we see you in a non-glamorous avatar any time soon?

Sure, as an actor I would definitely like to do different kinds of roles and different kinds of cinema.
Can you tell us about some interesting anecdotes while shooting for the ‘CC2C’?

For me the most interesting part would be shooting at the "Great Wall Of China." I had always thought that I would end up there as a tourist, but it was a greater experience actually shooting there, and I think with the first film to have ever been shot at the Great Wall Of China.
How was it working with Akshay Kumar? (We hear that you were in awe and a bit intimidated while performing stunts alongside him). How do you rate his stunt quotient?

. I wouldn’t say intimidated because then that would be taking away credit from him. He’s someone who has made me feel extremely comfortable, whether it was on the sets, whether it was a scene or whether it was an action stunt. He’s made me feel absolutely comfortable and also I give my director credit for that and I would also give myself a little bit of credit for that because I had trained really hard for it. No, I wasn’t intimidated. I am just someone who really admires the way he’s groomed himself over the years and the way he has evolved as an actor and the kind of cinema that he’s doing, I think he’s someone who we can all really learn a lot from.
You are considered to be one of the most beautiful/promising faces to hit Bollywood in a long time? Do all the sky-high expectations bog you down?

. No, it doesn’t. I am here to enjoy my work. I think enjoying my work is extremely important and that’s the reason I am here.

Who is your worst critic?

I think myself and my family. I think my family would be most honest with me.

When you see yourself on screen, do you cringe or do you analyze it to pieces?

I do a little bit of both.

INTERVIEW WITH SRK PART 2$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ SIMPLY SIZZLING

SRK's Interview On “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” – Part 2
Saturday, December 13, 2008

1.Your look in the film is very different and most talked about - can you tell us a bit about it?

The idea in the film, to give the two characters a different look, was obviously because they are two different characters and we wanted them to be extremely opposite.
The first character is Surinder Sahni - we wanted him to be a very real kind of a person - middle class, or maybe lower middle class kind of a guy, having a fixed routine - perhaps to the extent of being boring, fixed in what he does. Doesn't deviate and life is normal for him and he thinks this is how life should be and also wanted to give him a little bit of amusing quality without making him a caricature, or a comic and to get all that, I think a physical appearance was very very important.
Especially also for the movement of the story, the look was very important, which you will get to know when you see the film. One fine day, I just sort of put some moustache and got some hair piece done and showed it to Adi and Adi said, this is the guy he should look like. It's not just how weird I look, or funny I look, or geeky I look, or simple I look, but the simplicity of the character will permeate through the screen and you will say 'Oh wow! In real life I am like this'.
All of us become little weak when we are in love, all men hide this from their friends and other men, but in front of women they are like chickens or hens and we just don't ever say it. I think Surinder Sahni says it and it's an internal voice of every man who's actually quite baby like when it comes to the women he loves and Surinder Sahni is that persona, and within this whole look is the simplicity and the middle class-ness in the soul - it's just honesty when it comes to a woman.
2.What was your shoot experience like in Punjab?

I have done a lot of films in Punjab or different parts of Punjab. The people of Punjab are very lovable, hospitable and Punjabis always feed you well so you get great food, great hospitality and you get great locations.
And you also get great great crowds, so we had lots of crowds there, which is the only issue when you are shooting. But, they are really well mannered and really nice. So as soon as you get them off your body, one thousand of them, they are really well mannered and good to you. Khalsa College was one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever shot in. It has absolutely the most gorgeous structure - I never thought Khalsa College is like this, I have always heard about it. It's stunning - the beauty, the bigness, the expanse and all the arches and all the students, the principals there. I would say even on behalf of the YRF unit - Khalsa College really adds to the film, even though it comes in just a couple of scenes.
Golden Temple: I think I am blessed that I could get access to a holy place like this. I could go and 'teko matha'... I got the Kada, I got the Prashad, I prayed for my family, for the film, and everybody I know. As an actor, I do get to go to lot of beautiful places, but such a pious and wonderful place I could go to and the fact that I could spend that time as if it was stopped for us, though it wasn't because all the shooting was done with real people moving around. They were really kind because everybody comes to think about Rab there, nobody is really there to think about a shooting, but I felt really nice having shot in the Golden Temple and it was a great experience spiritually and of course filming wise, it looks beautiful on screen.
3.Any one memorable incident during the shoot of the film?

I think the most memorable part of this film making, to me at least, was the first seven-eight days when I changed my look for Surinder Sahni and I would be walking on the sets with nobody recognizing me. I got a taste of things to come thirty years later, when I am no longer a star, that nobody will recognize me and I will miss it.
I think that is the most memorable moment and I hope it never happens to me again ever, because not to be recognized after twenty years of such high recognition is something I wasn't ready for. And not only that, my own make up person, who's known me for twenty years, I would look at him to give me my make up equipment and he would just look through me. Nobody recognized me, including my own people, and I found that strangely eerie, surreal and shocking to say the least.
4.What sets "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" apart from the other YRF films that you have been a part of?

I truly believe that "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" is a film that when Adi narrated it to me, I just felt that he's being very courageous and brave. I never thought, with all due respect to Adi, who I believe can think of some really different kind of films he's produced, different kinds of films he's made, he's never even thought of being part of like 'Dhoom', 'Kabul Express' and 'Chak De India'. He really wants to experiment with commercial cinema, hoping that it does well - but still tries to think different within that parameter.
I never thought that for his own directorial venture, after eight years, he will think of a film like 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'. I didn't believe him, I thought it's a lie, but I think it's truly brave of him to take three characters - make a whole film revolve round them, not be bothered that the baggage of 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' or 'Mohabbatein' weighs heavy on him, or the films we have done together whether it is 'Darr', 'Veer-Zaara', 'Dil To Pagal Hai', 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Mohabbatien', 'Chak De India' - we have done really some fine commercially viable and wonderfully different films also together, but not once did he think, and he said 'No, we will make Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'.
So I think the unique part of "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" from Yash Raj Films is that after many years Yash Raj Films is making another film which it really feels for. I think it is a film which they don't want to make as a film; I think they just want to do as something they wish to experience. You reach a stage, I think Adi has reached a stage in his life where he just wants to make a film not for what commerce it will do - 'inshaallah it will do well', what critics will say, it's just a story he wanted to tell. I think it's an evolution of a director and a producer and that's what sets "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" very very different from all the others. I think they have made some wonderful films - this will also be considered as one of the wonderful films that Yash Raj Films has made, but I think it will be considered an immensely different film for me and for Adi.
4.An extraordinary romantic icon like you playing an ordinary man in a love story. Comment.

I joke a lot about my stardom – of course I take it very seriously ,because it's a job that I do and I have always said this that I am just an employee of the superstar that goes by the name of Shahrukh Khan - to be really honest, I have never thought 'I am a Superstar'.
I have never thought of myself as a romantic icon. I am just an employee of this romantic icon and I just need to work hard for my employer, this iconic romantic star or hero. I am basically very ordinary in the way I think, in the way I do things. It may not look from the outside, I live in a one lakh square feet house, I have got big cars, but these are all the trappings and peripherals that have come to me via the fact that I am an actor, but I come from a middle class background and educated lower middle class background and I have never lost touch with that.
And as a matter of fact, to be really honest, some of these iconic romantic characters so to say get attached with my name I think are iconic, because deep down inside they have a very simple basic middle class attitude. Suri is what I really am. Maybe when I tell my children, my children say 'but you don't look like this'. Ya, maybe I don't look like this, but maybe if I hadn't become a star I would look like that. I would have a moustache and have a side parting. I used to have a side parting, so it's not that I would look any different. But I would not wear keds on pants - I mean that's one thing I would have not done, or may be I would have, I really don't know. It's not really too different from what I am. And my challenge as an actor is genuinely to make Surinder Sahni the new romantic icon.
I want everybody not to love Raj anymore and say you know what - 'We want to be Suri'. I think 'Suri is beautiful' and I think 99.9 percent of us walk like Suri, talk like Suri, and look like Suri. Imagine, me with a moustache and a side hair, I would look like Suri, so it doesn't make a difference deep down inside or at least after shaving your moustache you can be a Rockstar. So that's the whole attitude that I want. The whole romantic iconic status crown now shift from Raj and Rahul, these really cool guys, on to "Surinder Sahni", because he's got a "good heart".

INTERVIEW WITH SRK {THE KING KHAN] IN RAB NE BANADE JODI SET PART 1 $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

SRK's Interview On “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” – Part 1
Friday, December 12, 2008

1.What do you think about the music of "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi"? Which is your favourite track from the film?

I think whenever I am normally asked this question- what I think about the music of the film - I would like to really answer that I don't think about the music of the film because music is not to be thought about - music is to be heard, enjoyed and felt.

Also, I am a little tone deaf about music I don't really know great music but as a lay man I do understand that all the songs sound cool of my film of other films, and this is what happened to me when I heard the music of 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'.

I heard it in installments because Adi is secretive about his music, so the first song I heard was "Haule Haule" and maybe it's like love at first sight or love at first hear... so "Haule Haule" is my favourite song.

I think Salim-Sulaiman have excelled, they are wonderful music directors but for "Haule Haule" they have gone beyond and I think Jaideep's lyrics both have merged together - it's a modern sounding song with amazingly earthy lyrics - it reminds me a bit of the Chak De India song "Kuch Kariye Kuch Kariye". I don't know somehow it's not similar at all but "Haule Haule" is sweeter, is kinder and little geekier that says some really nice things.

My second most favorite song is the title track "Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai" but to be honest I think the beauty of the music of this film will lie when you see the film because it flows seamlessly.

It has four songs visually in the film and when I saw the movie, the best thing I liked is that the songs don't stop the movie, they don't just come as an item, they take the story forward, each one of them actually and that's why perhaps they are not how typically a song is picturized like.

"Haule Haule" is picturized in three shots, it's very interesting - and visually, I think the most attractive song is "Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte" – it's very attractive to the audience because I am doing a lot of different getups, it's very attractive to me because I had five beautiful women dancing with me, so it was really nice. You get a new comer to act with you and then you have five fantastically, sexy and attractive ladies dancing with you, so that was nice and visually it's like really big and huge and Shiamak has excelled himself in this song - so on and on great music.

There are some people in London I hear they like "Dance Pe Chance" because it's got this English - Hindi kind of teaching you how to dance kind of music. Anushka has danced very well on it, I have tried to keep up - I have an excuse, I am not a good dancer and even in the film I am supposed to be a bad dancer, so it works well for me but overall I think the music is really nice really befitting this kind of film.

What was it that helped you decide to do this film?

2.When I am working with Yash Raj Films there are no decisions that I can take, as a matter of fact there are no decisions they can also take, we don't work on decisions - we just do it. We don't even work together, we just love each other - we just go ahead and say "OK Yashji, what film are you making" or Yashji will call me "Tu kya kar raha hai" and I will say "Kuch nahin" and he will say "Chal aaja picture kar le".

Adi also called me in January and said," I have written a film". I said, "Good for you". I thought he is producing another film and he said I have written it for you and I will make you hear it and you tell me, I said OK and I heard it and said it's very nice and he said we are doing it after 3 months. So there are never any decisions to be made when you are working with Yash Raj Films - at least my relationship is like this.

There are some few people in the film industry that I don't take any decisions, I think neither do they. It's just that sometimes both of us, whether it's Adi and me, or Yashji and me, or even for Karan and Farah, we say OK let's do a film and we just go and tell a story. So I can't say there is one thing that makes me decide to do this film except for the fact that I love Adi very much and I have only one thing as an elder to tell him that before he finishes making films, he should have directed 30 films. He's about 10 years too late and this is his third film - I think by now he should have been doing his seventh film. Then he would have had six "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (DDLJ's) - right now he's just going to have three of them.
3.Can you tell us something about the character that you play.

Surinder Sahni is someone that I have played before - it's an ordinary person. I have always said this and I will repeat it even if it's a repeat that Adi and I think that we are quite responsible for creating this young urban yuppie hero type called Raj when we did 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'.

I wouldn't like to take the whole credit but give it to Adi, but that kind of cinema and that kind of character we brought were good at heart, golden hearted... but really cool on top. Perhaps could be misunderstood and I think over the years as we have grown, we realized that we don't even need to dress him up well, I think we decided that we have normally tried to sell you the model of a car with the beauty of its lines and say - Oh, it's got a fantastic bonnet, it's got fused lighting and it's got this rooftop, it's a convertible but basically what counts in a car is the engine.

This time I think Adi and I decided that we are going to bare the engine and put it in front of the people and say if it doesn't look very attractive it doesn't have smooth lines, it's not a convertible but this is what runs the car. So, Surinder Sahni to me is the engine of most of the characters that perhaps Adi and I have done together. He is what he would look like from inside - maybe not very attractive, maybe little simple, but Surinder Sahni runs this character. So I wouldn't call Surinder Sahni a character, actually, I would call him the soul of lot of characters that Adi has written for me and other actors also.
4.What was it like working with Anushka Sharma who is making her debut?

To be really honest, when I met Anushka I felt that she's got an amazing amount of confidence. I think she has modeled before this on the ramp; she's a very pretty girl, very conscientious which I notice is a common trait in the youth of today. All youngsters are very conscientious, very confident and they have a very clear cut thought process.

They want to learn, but they have a mind of their own and this is an experience I really find very interesting in this phase of my career that I am working with youngsters who come with an idea which is I would say - they speak the language of this generation, they have expressions of this generation.

I think I am from a different generation and may be I am getting a little old fangled, maybe I am getting what people call stylized and mannerized in my acting, and maybe I am just getting repetitive in my acting. When I worked with Anushka it made me realize that there is a whole new world of enacting a scene.

Anushka in a certain way has helped me a lot with this film. A lot of people asked me, did you direct Anushka because she's a new comer? I think, without knowing, Anushka has directed me in the film because she gives a different expression and I am like listen I cannot be going on to the set pattern of how I act. I need to react to this girl who's so fresh and different. So as an actor, I would say she has kept me on my toes and I think she has done a wonderful job because we really needed a new character for this film.

The film becomes believable for Suri and everybody else in the film because of Anushka. She holds the film together. She is in the certain sense the main protagonist. Actually, at the end of one scene, I went up to her and told her, 'Thank you for making my film so beautiful'. I think these are the two things I can say about Anushka and wish her all the best.

I feel responsible for her career because she is starting off with me. I hope she does a fantastic job. Thank you for teaching me how to act in a different way and keeping me on my toes, not just by virtue of being fresh and new, by being taller than me also. I truly from the bottom of my heart pray for her. I hope we have got this film right - Adi and myself - and it does really good for her and she does some amazing amount of work, so we can feel proud that we started her career on celluloid.
5.This is your third film with Aditya Chopra - what was the experience working with him on 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'?

Adi is a very very old friend - we have known each other for I think around 14 to 15 years maybe. We share a very close rapport. We started working in 'Darr' when he was the chief AD and somehow we started feeling that we think the same. Adi and I have a lot of things in common as people. I think we are both a little reclusive. My job being of an actor, I think have to come out and be in the open - but I would be a lot like Adi you know a little shy, reclusive, quiet - wanting to create new things. But strangely, because both of us are alike, we do realize the decency in letting each other have his own space, so it's really wonderful - professionally we respect each other.

I call him 'Sir' on the sets. I respect what he does. I think he's a little more intense than me and I am a little funnier than him. So that helps in making a film – because, he brings the intensity like in 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' and I think I bring the comedy in a film like in 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'.

In this film, we have gone over the top. He has allowed me to be funny; I have allowed him to be intense. I think it's a great mix when we come together and I respect him for his beliefs, he's very earthy.

'Thank you Adi' for allowing me to be a part of your third dream and I hope I can continue to work very hard and hopefully try and be a part of your last dream too, whenever that may be, fifty-sixty years down the line. But I am like really blessed to have someone like Adi making films with me... and all three... so it's a hundred percent record for me, and I am really very thankful.
